There is a complete and obvious misunderstanding within the medical AND fitness communities about what is happening in the menopausal transition for women!
Even my very own OB/GYN admitted to me that she received less than 4 hours of training on menopause in med school and even less on nutrition and fitness. That is why so many of our very well respected OB/GYNs and General Practitioners are ill-prepared to give advice, much less protocols that will move the needle for us during these physiological, biological, and mental changes!

We are demanding more studies on WOMEN, WOMEN in Perimenopause, WOMEN in Menopause and beyond AND we are no longer accepting the very old & tired excuse of "women are just too difficult to study because of their hormones"!!!
YES, that is THE reason we still don't have the level of healthcare protocols we deserve during this transition.
